In Chernivtsi, with the help of a biblical exhibit, people were encouraged to read the Bible

On February 20, on the Cathedral Square in Chernivtsi, an event was held, the purpose of which was to encourage people to read the Bible. During the event, an interesting biblical exhibit was presented: a copy of the statue from the dream of the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. The event was organized by local Adventists.

During the presentation, the audience was told in detail the story from Daniel 2. Each part of the statue symbolically represented one of the world empires: the golden head—Babylon (608–538 BC); the silver chest—Medo-Persia (538–331 BC); the copper midsection—Greece (331–168 BC); the iron legs—Rome (168 BC–AD 476); the iron-clay-mixed feet—collapsed Rome/divided Europe (AD 476–present)—these are the Ostrogoths, Burgundians (Switzerland), Heruli, Visigoths (Spain), Anglo-Saxons (Great Britain), Franks (France), Alemanni (Germany), Sueves (Portugal), Lombards (Italy), and Vandals. Subsequently, during the formation of the medieval papacy, three nations were destroyed: Vandals, Heruli, and Ostrogoths.

Those present on the square compared the clear and specific prophecies of the Bible with the vague, unspecified prognostications of the French alchemist and astrologer Michel Nostradamus, as well as those of the Bulgarian clairvoyant Vanga, whose prophecy about the start of a third world war in 2010 did not come true—not to mention astrological horoscopes, where, after the recent discovery of NASA, the 13th sign of the zodiac automatically levels out all previously presented information.

Providing reliable historical information about the exact fulfillment of biblical prophecies in the past, the organizers of the event pointed to the future event described in Daniel 2: the stone that hit the statue's feet symbolizes the second coming of Jesus Christ. It will be a glorious future event to which all Christians look forward, when there will be no more tears, grief, pain, death, sorrow, war, or rumors of war. The main message of this event was the assurance that God is in control and the history of our planet will end well, so we need to read the Bible and trust God.
