Saw Samuel is elected as General Conference general vice president during the 62nd GC Session in St. Louis, Missouri.

On July 6, 2025, during the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session in St. Louis, Missouri, delegates elected Saw Samuel as one of seven general vice presidents of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium.

Originally from Myanmar, Samuel brings extensive experience in global church leadership. Prior to this role, he served as associate secretary of the General Conference, where he was liaison officer to the Northern Asia-Pacific, Southern Asia-Pacific, Southern Asia, and West-Central Africa Divisions.

Samuel’s ministry includes service in Thailand and the Philippines, reflecting his broad international perspective and dedication to cross-cultural mission. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Spicer Memorial College in India, a Master of Arts degree from Andrews University in Michigan, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in the Philippines.

His leadership reflects a deep commitment to strengthening global mission and nurturing the church’s unity in diversity.

The election is part of the broader decision-making process of the GC Session, where global delegates gather every five years for worship, prayer, and organizational leadership decisions.
