On July 6, 2025, during the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session in St. Louis, Missouri, delegates elected Josue Pierre as an associate treasurer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium.
Pierre currently serves as associate treasurer and data protection officer for the General Conference. His portfolio includes oversight of contracts procurement, purchasing processes, real property, and intellectual property inventory. He also serves as corporate secretary of the General Conference Corporation.
Prior to joining the treasury department in 2022, Pierre served as associate general counsel for the General Conference. His legal career spans more than 19 years and includes expertise in commercial finance, real estate, nonprofit law, corporate governance, and litigation.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Andrews University and a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University Law School.
Born and raised in New York, Pierre is the son of Haitian parents who served the Adventist Church in ministry and international mission work for more than 40 years. He and his wife, Danielle, have been married since 1994 and have two daughters, Katherine and Madeline.
The election is part of the broader decision-making process of the GC Session, where global delegates gather every five years for worship, prayer, and organizational leadership decisions.
