Members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Malawi have been encouraged to extend their evangelistic efforts beyond church buildings by using media platforms to share the biblical message of Jesus Christ.

The appeal was made during the Adventist World Radio (AWR) Day commemoration held at Dzenza Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lilongwe.

Emma Ntisunge Semphani, director of programs at the Adventist Media Centre—also known as Hope Channel Malawi—said radio, television, and digital platforms remain essential tools for reaching individuals who may not attend church.

She noted that media ministries continue to play a significant role in sharing messages of hope and have contributed to life change among audiences.

Kelvin Jingini, a church leader at Dzenza, encouraged members to support the radio ministry through prayer and financial contributions to help expand its reach, particularly in remote areas.

Michael Banda, a local church member, said young people are increasingly willing to use modern media platforms to share their faith.

AWR Day is observed annually to highlight the global impact of media ministries in sharing the Christian message across communities.
