Timothy Aka is elected as General Conference associate treasurer during the 62nd GC Session in St. Louis, Missouri.

On July 6, 2025, during the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session in St. Louis, Missouri, delegates elected Timothy Aka as an associate treasurer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium.

Aka has served the church at the GC since 2014, following a 28-year career in the financial services and investment industry. His previous experience includes roles at TD Asset Management and the Royal Bank of Canada, where he gained deep expertise in asset management, financial analysis, and strategic planning.

He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, Canada.

At the GC, Aka brings a strong focus on investment strategy and financial stewardship in support of the church’s global mission.

The election is part of the broader decision-making process of the GC Session, where global delegates gather every five years for worship, prayer, and organizational leadership decisions.
