Nuevo Tiempo Ecuador has launched a series of free mental health workshops in the La Comuna neighborhood, north of Quito, the capital of Ecuador. The initiative takes place in a community center in the area, in collaboration with the La Carolina Seventh-day Adventist Church, and brings together approximately 45 people at each weekly meeting.

The project's main objective is to promote emotional well-being and holistic development through educational, preventative, and community-based support programs. The workshops are led by specialized professionals who deliver talks and practical guidance to address emotional and social challenges from a preventive and educational perspective. To date, two consecutive meetings have been held with consistent participation from the local community.

The activities are centered on the Happy Mind guide, a resource designed to address topics related to emotional health, stress management, and personal well-being. Through this resource, participants receive tools to strengthen their emotional balance and improve their quality of life.

The initiative is completely free. Participants receive study materials at no cost and attend presentations given by invited experts. This approach aims to facilitate access to mental health resources in a community setting, promoting safe spaces for dialogue, learning, and mutual support.

According to the organizers, one of the project's goals is to establish a stable group through these workshops, one that will continue to meet to explore other areas of formation, including Bible study. Thus, the program begins by addressing emotional and social needs, with the intention of expanding its support to include spiritual matters.

Currently, approximately 45 people regularly attend the workshops, demonstrating the community's interest in these types of initiatives. Nuevo Tiempo continues to develop this project as part of its commitment to contributing to the overall well-being of individuals through accessible, sustainable, and community-oriented actions.

Nuevo Tiempo is the Spanish Christian TV channel and radio station for Central and South America, owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
