The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Uruguay began 2026 reflecting on a year of spiritual growth in 2025, as Bible study initiatives and local church support helped individuals deepen their faith.

Among those are Mónica and Martín, who grew up in religious settings but began a more intentional journey of spiritual discovery in recent years. Through consistent Bible reading, they said they rediscovered biblical principles that shaped their desire to live more fully in harmony with Scripture.

For Mónica, studying the Bible brought what she described as clarity on topics she had not previously understood. She said the experience stirred gratitude to God, along with a renewed sense of peace and joy, and gave her a desire to share what she was learning with family and those close to her.

Martín described his experience as a gradual process of drawing closer to God. He said regular contact with Scripture helped him become more attentive to life’s circumstances and more intentional about submitting his thoughts and actions to God’s will.

Their journey eventually led them to decide to pursue baptism.

Church members said practical support and community played a key role in the couple’s next steps. After an invitation from a church member, Mónica and Martín began attending the Nuevo Tiempo Center in Uruguay, where they received guidance, systematic Bible studies, and support from the faith community.

Nuevo Tiempo is the Spanish-language Christian media network in South and Central America owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Leaders described the center as a bridge to deeper involvement in the local church, strengthening the couple’s faith and affirming their commitment to begin a new chapter grounded in biblical teachings.

The Adventist Church in Uruguay highlighted local congregations, centers of influence—including Bible study spaces—and the Nuevo Tiempo ministry as key tools for connecting people with Scripture, the faith community, and a growing relationship with Jesus.

Church leaders and members said they remain committed to promoting Bible study, discipleship, and ongoing spiritual support for those seeking to deepen their relationship with Christ.
