In Bagnolet, France, North France Conference organized My Federal Life to explore concrete ways to deepen their spiritual lives, strengthen local community engagement, and prepare members to share the gospel in their environment as part of the OneVoice27 global initiative.
Mission begins with Jesus
Speakers outlined a vision built on three interconnected priorities: a personal relationship with Jesus, the local church's mission, and support from the North France Conference.
They emphasized that mission starts with an authentic experience with Jesus. Through Bible study, prayer, and daily communion with God, believers develop a living faith that makes them want to share it with others.
Local churches, they said, should be places of welcome and growth. People who are exploring faith should find a caring community where they can build friendships, ask questions, study the Bible, and discover what the Christian life looks like.
The North France Conference plans to support this effort by providing resources, training, and coordination to help congregations reach out to their communities.
From discipleship to witness
Participants were encouraged to follow a simple path built on four commitments: read, pray, serve, and share.
A key emphasis was the regular reading of Ellen G. White's The Desire of Ages (published in French as Jésus-Christ) to discover the life and ministry of Christ. Participants were also invited to pray intentionally for family, friends, and neighbors and to show God's love through practical acts of service.
Speakers pointed out that witnessing often grows out of everyday relationships. Attentive listening, offering a helping hand, or simply being there for someone can open the door to meaningful conversations about faith. Outreach materials, they said, are most effective when they are shared within a personal relationship.
Digital evangelism and the local church
The afternoon focused on MonEspérance (MyHope), the North France Conference's online outreach ministry.
The platform offers free Bibles, spiritual resources, and counseling. Leaders said that, since January 2025, more than 8,000 people have reached out through the platform, and more than 5,500 Bibles have been given away.
Presenters were careful to emphasize that online contacts only reach their full potential when they lead to a real, personal relationship.
Starting with people
Jean-Jack Chafograck, president of the North France Conference, challenged participants to pray for one person and invest time in that relationship.
Rather than focusing first on large events, Chafograck encouraged members to use everyday opportunities to reflect Christ's character and share their hope authentically.
As the Church prepares for 2027, the participants gathered in Bagnolet affirmed that the success of OneVoice27 will not be measured by how many events take place, but by how well believers and local churches walk alongside people on their journey to Christ.
