Hospitals Unveil Sculptures Portraying Assurance and Restoration

Three Seventh-day Adventist hospitals in the greater Denver area unveiled identical sculptures entitled "Eden Restored" during the Easter weekend

Three Seventh-day Adventist hospitals in the greater Denver area unveiled identical sculptures entitled “Eden Restored” during the Easter weekend. Installed by each front entrance, sculptures were unveiled on Good Friday, April 21, at Porter Adventist Hospital and at Littleton Adventist Hospital, and the following day at Avista Adventist Hospital.

“The bronze sculptures symbolize the unique mission of the hospitals in the PorterCare Adventist Health System,” says Stephen King, director of mission and ministry. “Our corporate mission is to provide renewed hope, health and well-being for people in our communities.’” King believes that nationally recognized sculptor Victor Issa of Loveland, Colorado, has captured the hospitals’ mission and values. Two years in creation, the art work is a gift funded through a mission donation.

Issa is the artist creating a sculpture to be unveiled in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on June 29, during the opening ceremonies of the 57th Session of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. [Charlotte McClure]
