More than 600 young Adventists gathered in Katowice, Poland, on July 30, 2025, for five days of worship, training, and outreach under the theme “To Every Nation.”

Generation. Youth. Christ (GYC) is a supporting ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church that seeks to lead young people toward deeper Bible study and commitment to mission, working closely with church leadership worldwide.

GYC Europe president, Naison Chitiyo, urged attendees to be proactive in sharing their faith, comparing their mission to rescuing drowning people. He called for bold proclamation of the prophetic message through both words and actions. Of those present, approximately 300 came from the Trans-European Division (TED).

The program offered diverse workshops, ranging from theology, health, and archaeology to conflict resolution, social media ministry, and plant-based cooking demonstrations. Presenters included Raluca and Roman Ril, who shared their journey with chronic disease, evangelist Christopher Kramp, author Joakim Hjortland, and chefs Christian Karlsson and Kasper Carstensen, who connected practical skills with testimony and mission.

Local and Regional Support

The event was hosted in the territory of the South Polish Conference. Conference treasurer Zenon Skorupski thanked leaders and members for their support in outreach to the local community.

“Last week, with the help of your volunteers, we started a mission program to launch an international Seventh-day Adventist Church here in Katowice,” he said. “We will continue with these activities during the next few months.”

He added that one of the church’s key goals in Poland—a nation where evangelism has historically been difficult—is to strengthen discipleship groups as “the best tool to develop relationships, using the church’s resources for mission.” He expressed hope that the conference workshops would inspire participants to connect with one another and “take action with God to change the world around you.”

TED president Daniel Duda also addressed attendees, calling them “young leaders, dreamers, and disciples of Jesus.” He added: “What a joy it is to have you all here to seek God’s presence, to dive deep into the Word, and to recommit your life to His calling. I want to assure you that you are not just the future of the church; you are the vibrant, living present.”

The Big Four Questions

Keynote speaker Adam Ramdin framed his messages around “The Big Four” questions: Where do we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going? What kind of person ought we to be? Drawing from the biblical books of Daniel and Revelation, he emphasized Adventist identity in prophetic calling, the purpose of sharing the gospel, and the hope of eternal destiny.

He reminded participants that their answers must be Christ-centered, finding identity, purpose, destiny, and character in Him alone. Ramdin also cautioned against using prophecy as a fear tactic or for speculative date-setting, instead urging participants to view prophecy as a call to deepen their love for Jesus and live with mission-driven urgency.

Call to Mission

The closing worship service featured a mission appeal from Jason Sliger, a missionary serving with his family in western Papua New Guinea. He challenged participants to embrace sacrificial service, telling them, “God has a mission field with your name on it.”

Highlighting that 42 percent of the world remains unreached, Sliger called for boldness similar to that of early Adventist pioneers. Many attendees responded to the appeal, later joining in street outreach through literature distribution, prayer, music, and creative Bible presentations.

Sliger encouraged the youth to dedicate their best years to sharing the gospel wherever God calls, with courage and faith.
