The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s streaming platform in South America, Feliz7Play, has gained international recognition by receiving five awards at the Remember the Future World Film Festival, held in May 2025 in Cannes, France. The event brings together original creations from around the world that promote narratives with social, spiritual, and human relevance.

The award-winning productions address contemporary issues with sensitivity, depth, and a Christian perspective, reaffirming the Seventh-day Adventist Church's commitment to sharing hope through every means possible.

Without losing the essence of biblical principles, the works stood out for their technical quality, thematic sensitivity, and commitment to messages of faith and hope. The recognitions serve as open doors to reach new audiences with stories based on Christian values, in environments where the message of the gospel is rarely heard.

For Kimberly Dias, executive producer of Feliz7Play, each award-winning film represents a truth that needs to be told, a reality that needs to be looked at more closely, and a hope that needs to be rekindled.

“We are very happy. Receiving these awards is an honor. It is a clear sign that our mission is reaching people around the world. These achievements are not just ours, but of everyone involved in creating these narratives who work passionately so that the message of faith reaches as many people as possible,” he highlights.

Fear Not – Best Film about Pandemic
Rubens faces grief after losing his parents to Covid-19. The film addresses pain and new beginnings, offering comfort to those who still bear the scars of the pandemic.

Jefferson Nali, director of four of the award-winning films and executive producer of Camile, says that “each award is a testament to everyone’s dedication and effort. “As a director, I see that winning the festival, in different categories, shows not only the artistic potential, but also the impact of the works. It is a mixture of happiness and great gratitude to God for the opportunity to inspire lives. This encourages us to continue exploring new plots and amplifying the voice of Christian cinema,” he explains.

One Mission

The award-winning productions were made in partnership with Seven Filmes/Paraíso Filmes, companies that have collaborated with Feliz7Play in creating high-impact and spiritually sensitive content.

Luciana Costa, screenwriter and executive producer of five of the films awarded at the festival, comments that in addition to being an extraordinary achievement, it is the reflection of a lot of teamwork, and the partnership between Paraíso Filmes/Seven Filmes and Feliz7play.

“The awards validate the creativity, faith and values that inspire Christian productions. The depth and quality of the stories told are clear, from an artistic point of view as well. They are universal messages of love, forgiveness, redemption, impactful and original narratives, and I feel very honored to be able to share works like this with the public,” explains Luciana.

Feliz7Play maintains partnerships with several Christian production companies that have also been standing out in the audiovisual scene.

The World Film Festival in Cannes – Remember The Future is an international space that values independent content with social and spiritual impact. The award-winning productions are selected by an international jury and shown to the public in special sessions. They also participate in an annual popular vote that recognizes the most impactful projects.

In addition, the short film Dinah and the film The Return 3 were also selected for special sessions of the festival, even without specific awards. The screenings bring together productions with strong thematic appeal and emotional impact.

Dinah sensitively portrays the healing process of a young Christian victim of sexual abuse. The Return 3 concludes a trilogy that presents the plan of salvation through the journey of a modern young man faced with eternal decisions.

Likewise, the film Libertos won in three categories, one of them being best film at the Los Angeles Film Awards.

Both titles stand out for their spiritual depth and relevant approach to contemporary issues, expanding the reach of the Adventist message through accessible and engaging formats.

Audiovisual Evangelism

Leaders believe that by gaining space in events of this size, Feliz7Play represents not only the technical and narrative advancement of Adventist productions but also the strength of the gospel as a universal message of comfort, truth, and hope.

“These awards are more than just recognition of the technical quality of Feliz7play’s productions. They are proof that the messages these films convey are in tune with the needs of today’s society, impacting lives and transforming people,” emphasizes Carlos Magalhães, executive director of Feliz7Play.
