Evangelistic Outreach in Armenia Brings Hope to Border Communities

In a recent outreach effort focused on the remote border regions of Armenia, special attention was given to small churches serving communities in need of spiritual encouragement and support.

As a result, two Adventist pastors from Moldova traveled to opposite ends of the country to lead evangelistic campaigns in Alaverdi (north) and Sisian (south).

In the days leading up to the campaign, church members distributed hundreds of books, invitations, and gospel brochures. Members of the church’s English language club and participants in the “Warmth and Bread from the Hands of Jesus” charity program played an active role in inviting friends, neighbors, and colleagues.

The meetings, held over the course of a week, drew 30 to 40 participants daily despite cloudy and rainy weather. Notably, 18 to 20 attendees each day were newcomers who had never participated in such events before.

Each evening program began with a short health presentation, with topics such as stress management, followed by Bible study.

According to organizers, the meetings created a welcoming and interactive environment. Conversations often continued after the formal program ended, with many staying to ask questions and engage in further discussion. During one of the final sessions, several attendees responded to an appeal for further Bible study. Studies are ongoing with those who expressed interest in making a deeper spiritual commitment.

Organizers expressed hope that the seeds of faith planted during the campaign will grow and bear fruit in the months ahead.

The Euro-Asia Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church oversees mission work across a vast and culturally diverse territory that includes Armenia, Russia, Central Asia, and other neighboring countries. Despite ongoing challenges—both social and geographic—the Division remains committed to reaching remote and underserved communities with the message of hope and salvation. Through local churches, lay members, and coordinated evangelistic efforts, the Euro-Asia Division continues to support spiritual growth and community engagement across the region.
