A Seventh-day Adventist health fair provided free dental care to 20 individuals, 18 of whom chose to begin Bible studies, at the Padre Las Casas commune in Chile. The initiative combined medical services with spiritual support, making a holistic impact on the community.

The event was organized by the El Bosque Adventist Church with the aim of promoting both physical and spiritual well-being, building on similar initiatives that have previously shown positive results in the area.

Community-based healthcare

The program was supported by Aproas Araucanía Sur (Association of Adventist Health Professionals) and ADEM (Adventist Missionary Dental Group), strengthening volunteer efforts in the region.

During the event, 20 people received care. Through the “Giving Smiles” project, 17 individuals received dental treatment. Supported by donations from church members, the initiative enabled the purchase of new dental instruments and expanded the reach of services.

Organizers indicated that the project will continue, with ongoing efforts to gather supplies and materials for future health fairs.

Service inspired Christ's method

Organizers say the initiative follows Christ’s method of ministry, emphasizing compassion, personal care, and service. In addition to medical attention, participants were offered spiritual guidance aimed at addressing their broader needs.

In southern Chile, similar outreach initiatives have become an effective way to connect with communities, combining healthcare with spiritual support and building relationships of trust.

Commitment to comprehensive health

Beyond providing medical services, the initiative created opportunities for personal development and Bible study, reflecting a continued commitment to holistic care.

The El Bosque Adventist Church plans to organize additional outreach events, continuing its efforts to provide health services, hope, and spiritual support to communities in the region.
