Superbom, a food company operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brazil, has marked its 100th anniversary with a ceremony in São Paulo.

The company began in 1925 with the production of grape juice. The Superbom brand name originated in 1936 when Brazil’s then-president sampled the product and gave it the name that remains today. Over the decades, Superbom expanded its portfolio, launching its first line of canned goods in the 1970s and introducing Brazil’s first plant-based chicken product in 2018.

Superbom has received recognition in the food industry. In 2019, its Burger Gourmet Superbom was awarded the Innovation Award for most innovative product in Brazil’s vegan food market. In 2021, the company’s honey received the Superior Taste Award as the best in its category nationally.

As part of the centennial celebration, the São Paulo City Council presented Superbom with a formal tribute in 2025 for its contributions to health and society. Leaders from the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South America attended the event, along with company representatives and local officials.

Superbom today continues to operate as a food manufacturer with an emphasis on plant-based and health-oriented products.
