Members of the Ambohinambo Seventh-day Adventist Church in Madagascar organized a visit to the Antanimora detention facility for children, sharing food, health guidance, and a devotional program.

During the gathering, Rakoto, a local church elder, emphasized the church’s ongoing responsibility to provide spiritual support and noted the Adventist church’s plan to continue outreach to minors in detention.

The program included a song presented by detainees, health advice delivered by church member Rakotoarisoa Natacha, and a message by Rakotomandimby Victor. A team of 16 Adventist youth, accompanied by the church elder, the youth director, and Community Services personnel, distributed cooked food at lunchtime.

Additional Adventist congregations are scheduled to support the facility in November 2025. The Adventist Churches of Andravoahangy, Avaradoha, Ambohijafy, and Ankosirano plan to visit the children’s unit. Local church districts, such as the Ivato District, also plan to visit and serve adult detainees at Antanimora later in November.

At the Tsiafahy detention facility, the Androndra District organized food preparation and assistance on October 31, with the Andraisoro District scheduled to handle food preparation in November.

Prison chaplain Ratovoarisoa David Olivier said the program reflects coordinated support among multiple churches participating in prison ministry.
