The OneVoice27 global digital evangelism initiative was presented to "The Hadassahs" Princess Camp in Vohitavio Manambato, Madagascar, on August 8, as nearly 1,500 young Adventist women were invited to become active participants in the Adventist Church's September 2027 evangelistic initiative.
Speaking to the camp, Rado Rakotonandrasana, communication director for the Indian Ocean Union Conference, presented the vision and objectives of OneVoice27. The initiative will mobilize Adventists around the world in September 2027 to mark the 2,000th anniversary of Jesus' baptism. The initiative calls Adventists everywhere to unite their voices and efforts around a shared mission of sharing the gospel and leading people to Christ.
Drawing on the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19, Rakotonandrasana reminded the young women of the call given by Christ to His disciples: to make disciples of all nations. He also drew on 1 John 2:13, in which the apostle John writes to young people, "you have overcome the evil one", reminding them of their strength to remain steadfast in the Word of God.
"This time," Rakotonandrasana told the young women, "it is your turn to unite your voices."
From presentation to practice, the young women were invited to share the message immediately. Each participant was asked to choose two of her friends to share a simple, essential message, "Tia Anao Jesosy" (Jesus loves you), along with the OneVoice27 vision. Each was invited to use the digital platform she knows best: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or SMS.
Before beginning the exercise, the young women joined in a short Malagasy rhyme that captured the initiative's spirit:
"Telephona kely eny an-tanana, andao hitoriana amin'ny namana,
Ny mur-ko raha vao miseho, Jesosy no hitanao eo."
"A little phone in hand, let's share the gospel with our friends,
As soon as my social media appears, you will see Jesus there."
The young women began sharing the OneVoice27 message with friends across their platforms, in what organizers described as an immediate, hands-on preparation for the global mobilization ahead in September 2027.
Rakotonandrasana closed with a call for continued engagement. When the time comes for OneVoice27 in September 2027, he said, each of the 1,500 participants should be ready to take an active part.
The OneVoice27 activation at "The Hadassahs" Princess Camp forms part of the Indian Ocean Union Conference's rollout of the global initiative.
