Day five of the 62nd General Conference (GC) Session opened with a devotional by John Bradshaw, president of It Is Written, a Seventh-day Adventist media ministry under the North American Division (NAD). 

In a talk titled “The Model,” Bradshaw spoke of the importance of the earthly and heavenly sanctuary in the role of shaping the movement of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 

“Jesus was never going to return in 1844,” Bradshaw said. “Instead He moved into the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary and shifted His focus to judgment.” 

Morning devotionals at GC Session begin each day at 8:30 a.m. EST inside the Dome at the America's Center and conclude with a 25-minute prayer session for delegates.

Today’s prayer session was led by:

• Don MacLafferty, president of In Discipleship, an independent supporting church ministry, and his wife, April MacLafferty. 

• Mark Ringwelski, founder of His Call Ministries, an independent supporting church ministry, and his wife, Susan Slikkers.

Bradshaw will continue to lead morning devotionals during this year’s session.
