Assurance of Victory in the Midst of Uncertainty and Trials

2020 will go down in history as the year a new virus rapidly spread across the entire world.

Switzerland | EUDnews

Fear, confusion and hopelessness crept into the hearts of people as country after country went into total or partial lock down; as people became infected and died; as many lost their jobs and the world economy started suffering from the negative effects of this pandemic.

In the midst of this and other challenges with which we may be confronted, we strongly encourage you to decidedly put your entire life—including all fears and uncertainties—in the hands of our Heavenly Father. We need to intentionally cultivate trust in Him, fixing our mind on all the blessings that we have received from Him, not letting any fear or doubt undermine our confidence in Him.

He knows what is best for us and He promises all who put their trust in Him that they will be winners. That is, by His power in us we will finally overcome anything that may be disturbing or discouraging us.

It is our choice how we will live the New Year and the rest of our lives. Will we be fearful, anxious, or depressed? We will always have challenges and problems. What makes a definitive difference – for good or bad – is how we face them.

How did Paul, a strong and resilient man, overcome his problems and difficulties? By the power of God. In his letter to the Romans he wrote: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:35, 37, 28).

May you and your family experience God’s most abundant blessings during this holiday season and throughout the entire New Year!

Happy New Year!
