This week Pastor Ted Wilson continues discussion on chapter eight of The Great Controversy, entitled “Luther Before the Diet” in which the reformer Martin Luther’s safety is put into jeopardy as Emporer Charles V announced his decision to uphold the Roman Catholic Church.
In a daring rescue through a friend of the Reformation, Luther escaped to the castle of Wartburg, where some of his most important and lasting work was accomplished.
In safety and in silence, Luther continued his work for the Lord, translating the New Testament into German and circulating tracts throughout the region to further God’s message.
To learn more about Luther’s ministry in the face of persecution and how it relates to our present experience, read The Great Controversy by Ellen White at https://greatcontroversyproject.org/.
