This week Pastor Ted Wilson continues discussion on chapter seven of The Great Controversy, entitled “Luther’s Separation from Rome” in which Luther posts the 95 Theses on the door of the castle church in Wittenberg. The news of this bold act and the 95 theses spread like wildfire across Germany and beyond, enraging all of Rome.
Despite the threat of prison, torture, and death, Luther remained faithful and refused to recant. When a decree from Rome arrived condemning and excommunicating Luther, he burned it publicly along with other decrees and documents asserting papal power.
