Sagunto Adventist Campus Takes Mission Trip to Albania

Alfredo Lopez

From March 31 to April 7, 2024, the Sagunto Adventist Campus (CAS) carried out a mission trip in Körçe, Albania, with the aim of creating bridges between the community and the church and strengthening the local Adventist congregation. A diverse team of 35 volunteers of more than twelve nationalities, representing all areas of the campus, participated in activities aimed at this purpose.

The Activities

Activities included English and Spanish classes to improve participants' language skills and soccer classes that promoted values such as teamwork and leadership. Of course, spiritual elements were also integrated.
The volunteers held an Exposalud fair, in which various health specialists served more than 100 people daily. The health workers offered the population glucose tests and blood pressure measurements. In addition, they shared information about natural remedies and oral prevention and advised them spiritually.
They also carried out a massive outreach campaign to inform the community about these activities. Importantly, Bible conferences were given, with around 26 people participating daily, providing hope and strengthening the faith of local Adventists.
The team returned to Spain with deep gratitude, convinced that the work carried out has planted a seed of hope and transformation in the hearts of those we had the privilege of knowing. The group is deeply grateful to God for the experience and extends special gratitude to the great support of the pastoral and missionary family of Körçe (Albania). Our gratitude also extends to the translators, the local parishioners, and the sponsors who made the trip possible.
The CAS remains committed to the challenge of continuing to bring light and love to other latitudes, but always remembering that we have the greatest mission at CASa.
