Novo Tempo Offers Support on the Road to Aparecida

As millions journey to Brazil's National Sanctuary of Aparecida, a special tent provides rest, resources, and spiritual nourishment.

As the October 12th holiday approaches, people from various regions of Brazil head to the city of Aparecida do Norte, in the interior of São Paulo, Brazil, to visit the National Sanctuary of Aparecida. The roads leading to the city are filled with pilgrims, who have been walking for days.

According to the Military Police of the state of São Paulo, 11 million pilgrims passed through Aparecida during the operation in 2023. The corporation expects a 20% increase in movement this year. The Presidente Dutra Highway is the main axis connecting the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and is the route to Aparecida.

To support pilgrims, the Novo Tempo Communication Network, the Portuguese Christian TV and radio channel, located in Jacareí, in the interior of São Paulo, is offering services in a tent in front of the institution, located on the access route used by many people who walk towards Aparecida. The tent began operating on the seventh and will remain open until October 11th, 2024. Fruit, cereal bars, and water are distributed there. There is also a mat for resting, and books and magazines with Bible studies are given to travelers.

Opportunities to Proclaim Biblical Content

The organizer of the event, Willian Silvestre, emphasizes that "every year hundreds of pilgrims pass right in front of Novo Tempo. This year, we want to offer support for their basic travel needs and testify about our work and our message, to our brothers in Christ."

Those who stop at the tent are given copies of the Esperança Magazine and missionary books that present the Holy Bible. Forms are also being used to register students for the Bible School and donors to Angels of Hope, as well as a prayer request form.

In the tent, there is a TV that plays Novo Tempo programming, which shows various programs, such as health, education, Bible study, and Christian children's cartoons. Everything was designed to promote support by delivering the message of hope proclaimed by the Novo Tempo Communication Network.
