On March 12, 2025, the Moldovan Broadcasting Council granted the Voice of Hope radio station permission to use four new FM frequencies in Comrat, Cimislia, Rezina, and Sângerei. Following months of technical preparation and equipment installation with support from Adventist World Radio (AWR), all four stations were commissioned between September 18 and 23.

Among the areas now covered is Gagauzia, an autonomous region with a predominantly Orthodox, Russian-speaking, ethnic Turkish population. The station plans to produce programs in both Russian and Gagauz for local listeners.

With the addition of these frequencies, Voice of Hope now operates 13 radio stations across Moldova, covering approximately 95 percent of the country’s population. Together with Romania, Moldova is home to one of the largest Adventist radio networks in Europe and Asia.

To mark the launch, AWR representatives Vasile Makarchuk, vice president; Samuel Gregory, chief network engineer; and Pavel Liberanskii, director of media ministries for the Euro-Asia Division, visited Moldova.

Over six days, they worked with colleagues from RGN Moldova to install and configure the broadcasting equipment, located at the facilities of the state-owned Radiocommunications Company and Orange Moldova.

Local Adventist pastors participated in the launch ceremonies.

On September 20, worship services in Comrat and Cimislia marked the occasion, where AWR and RGN Moldova teams shared their radio broadcasting experiences and explained how listeners can access and promote the Voice of Hope station. Attendees also learned about AWR’s broader initiatives, including online broadcasts, Bible study courses, and other thematic programs designed to promote moral and spiritual education.

In their addresses, Adventist pastors and AWR representatives called on believers to listen to radio broadcasts, watch online broadcasts, and promote Adventist media programs among family, friends, and acquaintances.

During their visit, AWR leaders also met with the leadership of the Union of Churches of Moldova to discuss strategies for expanding the impact of Voice of Hope.
