In a move aimed at strengthening its communication and outreach in a changing media environment, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has launched HopeMedia for the Czech and Slovak Republics—uniting the Church’s media and publishing work under one organization.

Over the past year, the Church completed a reorganization that merged three key entities under a single Board of Trustees: Advent-Orion, the Church’s publishing and literature ministry in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, HopeTV, the Adventist media outlet, and Štúdio nádej (“Studio Hope”), a media production team supporting Adventist Church communication through audio-visual projects and related creative work.

The new structure also includes correspondence course centers in Ostrava and Bratislava, a centralized digital communications team overseeing social media and web platforms, and a unified IT support system.

Church leaders said the goal extends beyond administrative efficiency, aiming instead to strengthen cooperation and resource-sharing across the Czecho-Slovakian Union, supporting mission at the conference, local church, and individual levels.

As of January 2026, Radomír Špinka is leading HopeMedia. With a decade of leadership experience at ADRA, Špinka’s role includes integrating teams and developing international partnerships to expand the organization’s capacity.

A strategic summit held January 12–14, 2026, set priorities for the new entity and confirmed a mid-term plan for 2026–2027. Leaders said the plan focuses on developing high-quality content and projects for varied audiences, including children, youth, and secular communities, while also providing resources that support the spiritual growth of church members. HopeMedia’s initiatives, they added, will be shaped by needs identified by local conferences and congregations.

Based in Prague, HopeMedia will operate through a decentralized model, with teams located across the Union to reflect local communities and draw on regional talent.

HopeMedia now coordinates five core areas: publishing, media production, digital communication, education through correspondence and distance learning, and technology services.

Church leaders said the launch of HopeMedia reflects a commitment to using modern tools more cohesively, strengthening the Church’s public presence and supporting its mission through consistent, professional communication across platforms.
