Brazilian classical music is being presented with a precious jewel: Ana Luiza Cicarini, a young harpist of just 17 years old, has become the youngest professional harpist in Brazil and is conquering the classical music world with her talent. The musician will receive an Honorable Mention at the Classic Pure Vienna International Music Competition. The award ceremony will take place on October 13, 2023. Ana Luiza’s achievement represents Brazil and reveals God's work in her life.

The teenager began her musical career in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. At just 12 years old, she already caught the attention of the musical community when she won her first competition, the prestigious BDMG Young Musician 2019. "I thank God for every achievement so far, and I'm very excited to represent Brazil in Austria. I hope to find opportunities to talk about Jesus, too," she says.

Ana Luíza is a missionary harpist. Wherever she performs, she shares her testimony and God's message. One example is her first harp teacher, who was baptized into the Adventist Church through her testimony after receiving Bible studies from the student's parents.

The "Harp Princess'" Trajectory

Ana Luiza is known as the "Harp Princess," but the title is not only due to the clothes she wears in her performances but also because she has had noble characteristics since she was a child. Due to her early and outstanding musical career on the harp, in 2019, she was unanimously awarded the Diploma of Honor for Merit by the Belo Horizonte City Council.

At the age of 13, Ana Luiza won the Revelation Prize at the International Harp Competition in Cosenza, Italy, solidifying her place as one of the most talented young prospects in the world of classical music.

Ana Luiza's talent also caught the attention of the Italian Harp Orchestra, and she was invited to take part in recording a CD for the Combat Violence against Women project for the second year running. Her commitment to music and contribution to important causes show that she is not only an exceptional harpist but also a conscientious, committed young woman.

In April 2021, Ana Luiza won an unprecedented prize for Brazil, taking first place in the Little Mozart International Music Competition. This remarkable achievement granted her the opportunity to take part in the Gala Concert at the Carnegie Hall Theater in New York, United States, in 2022.

Ana Luiza continued to break barriers; also in 2021, she won the only harp position in the Minas Gerais Philharmonic Academy, becoming the youngest member of the academy. She is living proof that age is no barrier to success when you have talent and passion.
