In its second year, CommLab 2 is poised to make waves with anticipated in-depth discussions on church content development across various platforms. Originating as a laboratory for tightly-knit interactions between organizations, this year's event is set to draw a significantly larger audience. Delegations from colleges, universities, hospitals, Adventist World Radio, Hope Channel, and regional media entities will converge, marking an unprecedented reception from the Adventist creative community. Participants will gather at the Southern Asia-Pacific Division Headquarters from March 12–17, 2024, to collaborate on mission-oriented content development and learning strategies.

CommLab 2 is dedicated to highlighting the significance of intelligent and resourceful work, emphasizing the optimization of available resources for multiple outcomes. The event also focuses on achieving a streamlined workflow, covering the entire spectrum from pre- to post-productions, social media optimization, and communication leadership skills.

Pastor Heshbon Buscato, Communication director of the Southern Asia-Pacific region, acknowledges the significant responsibility entrusted to every communicator. This includes the vital role of disseminating information and upholding a positive image of the church for its members, the community, and a global audience.

According to Pastor Buscato, communication transcends mere social media posts. He emphasizes that it encompasses the character and message embedded in every detail we design, produce, compose, or develop. Buscato states that as communicators, our motivation to spread Christ's message to the world is born out of our relationship with Him.

CommLab 2 is set to welcome more than 150 delegates from all across the region. Distinguished guests coming from different fields of church media were invited to share their expertise and help empower media missionaries in their respective ministries.

The meeting agenda is set to cover a diverse range of topics, including the introduction to cinematography, innovative and creative evangelism strategies, content development, same-day editing, principles of creating segments, improving brand perception, church ads and promotional design workflow, phases of management, article writing and copyright, project management, branding development workflow, digital assets and security, hope channel brand positioning, event production, creating the president’s report, photography, producer craft, audio development, and social media ethics and management.

"I hope that by the conclusion of this meeting, we can broaden our perspective on this ministry and truly appreciate the collaborative efforts of each team member working together towards the shared objective of spreading the love of Jesus in the digital space," expressed Toni Stanyer, Media director for the Southern Asia-Pacific Region.
