Sahmyook Health University brings health and cultural outreach to Nepal

A volunteer team from Sahmyook Health University conducted a community outreach program at Everest Academy in Nepal from June 22-26, 2026, providing medical services, sustainability education, and cultural exchange to support the local community and strengthen international friendship.

Organized under the Nepal Section, the program brought together 22 volunteer members who served students, local residents, and the surrounding community through a variety of activities.

The program was conducted under the advisory leadership of professor Kim SeongMin, with spiritual guidance from Jung EunHo, associate pastor of New Hope Church. Their leadership helped guide the team to carry out activities in an organized, mission-focused way.

As part of the outreach, volunteers provided free health consultations and basic medical check-ups for local residents, helping promote health awareness and access to basic care. The team also conducted educational sessions on environmental, social, and governance values, encouraging participants to think about sustainability, responsibility, and community development.

In addition, the volunteers hosted Korean cultural sharing activities, including Korean music and traditional food. These activities created opportunities for friendship, cultural understanding, and meaningful interaction between participants from Korea and Nepal.
